Life changing events affect all of us. Some we can expect, but some leave us dislocated and unsettled, with more questions than answers, and not knowing what to do to move forward. Maybe you are missing someone who is no longer with you or experienced a loss that was necessary but nonetheless hard to accept. Our culture has a limited understanding of grief and loss, defining it as having a time frame with a distinct beginning and end. The reality is grief cannot be neatly packaged and put on a shelf. Everyone’s experience is unique.
